The Barrington Women’s Club, entering its 91st year, doesn’t look or act its age. Founded in 1934, the club continues to offer members a variety of social, educational, and charitable opportunities.
During the Great Depression, the 1938 hurricane, and other hard times, the club contributed fuel and food to needy families. During World War II, members rolled bandages for soldiers.
Today our 501c (3) non-profit organization's dedicated members maintain a robust community service component. BWC's fundraising activities contribute more than $5,000 each year to our local communities.

BWC member Dr. Evelyn Coppell established an award in 1960. The
award is given annually to a Barrington High School student who shows interest in medicine.

We're serious about helping others. This winter we collected more than 60 gently-used sweaters and other seasonal wear to help warm our neighbors, donated numerous pounds of food, purchased new toys, books, and stuffed animals for children in shelters, and sent Valentines to veterans. Annually we disperse around $5,000 to support local charities.

Members celebrate BWC's 50th Anniversary with a song & dance.

All money raised at our annual Holiday Craft Fair goes to charity.
