The Barrington Women’s Club, entering its 91st year, doesn’t look or act its age. Founded in 1934, the club continues to offer members
a variety of social, educational, and charitable opportunities.
During the Great Depression, the 1938 hurricane, and other hard times, the club contributed fuel and food to needy families.
During World War II, members rolled bandages for soldiers.
Our 501c (3) non-profit organization supports charities, contributing more than $4,000 each year to our local communities.
Our major focus is the Dr. Evelyn Coppell Award, a scholarship established in 1960 by BWC member Dr. Evelyn Coppell,
which is given annually to a high school student who shows
an interest in medicine.
Club members celebrate BWC’s 50th Anniversary with song and dance.
